Have You Tried This Nut Butter?

https://youtu.be/pTv_AmIilzI

For a change I went to Sprouts Farmers Market! I only needed a few things and as I passed by noticed it was not busy so figured it was the best time to shop and browse around. My agenda was simple get this, get that and my usual almond butter. I had downloaded the app and had a coupon, so I thought I would get a deal, well, the brand was to high for my liking so the search was on! What kind of almond butter should I get… Well it ended up to be none, I didn’t like any of the prices ( thus probably why I had not been back in awhile). Nevertheless, something yellow and cheaper caught my eye… Sprouts has there own nut butter in what? Sunflower! Never heard anyone talk about this or knew it existed! So then I had to try to remember when was the last time I even ate sunflower seeds? If this is nasty can I take eating it anyway with my no waste, or very little waste self imposed policy? It was a concerning moment seeing late work traffic was building and I was not going to another store! So….

I bought it! Now first taste took me back, it had a layer of separated oil that I think I didn’t mix well so it was a strong flavor. So I mixed it more, then it tasted just like sunflower seeds a little salty and sweet. It blends very well for those who like grape jelly/jam! So it’s a buy for me, and check out the rest of the mini grocery haul by clicking the link above, Happy Eating!

( I showed the bottom for those coming from my YouTube channel C.LynnsArt of Cooking so they would need to read to know the nut butter 😉)

What’s in that Burger?!

https://youtu.be/x498SkPNlUo

When cooking turkey burger have you wondered why do they keep coming out dry? Well most of the time people buy turkey because it’s a healthier option due to less fat, less fat in this case can cause dryness. So what do I do to make my turkey burgers juicier? ADD FAT! 😂 I hear you saying does that not defeat the purpose of buying turkey burger in the first place? Nooooo, because it’s the kind of fat I am adding. So if you are from C.LynnsArt of Cooking from YouTube my secret ingredient is…Olive Oil! Olive Oil is a very healthy fat! So by adding 3 tablespoons ( adjust as needed, less or more) to every pound of turkey burger, pink Himalayan Salt and ground Black Pepper, these delicious 😋 turkey burgers were made, Happy Eating!

Cooking Up Some Pollock!

 https://youtu.be/E3ZtInAAHJQ

When it comes to cooking, things can get a little boring. Sometimes we stay in the same routine Monday through Sunday and never step out our comfort zone. Well that’s a habit I try to break often! So what was my change? Fish! Pollock to be exact. I love shopping at Aldi grocery store and they have a decent frozen section. The one thing I had not tried was Pollock Fish, so literally for 2 months off and on I have been trying out how to cook this fish well!

What’s the Sauce?!

Beans and rice! It’s simple and delicious and depending on the bean can be time consuming. That’s why my beans and rice are what I call untraditional! As many know, I love lentils for healthy eating, and they are the near perfect quick cooking bean I have found, you don’t even have to soak them! Only thing I noticed is that they will soak up all the water! Then what to do? Make a sauce or use your favorite! So for all who came from Instagram @clynnsart (follow) wanting to know what is the sauce... Pasta Sauce! Yes it’s not just for noodles 🍝! As I have shared before here and on my YouTube channel C.LynnsArt of Cooking (subscribe) tomato pasta sauce can add so much flavor to your meals and it’s also easy to make from scratch.

Simple Eaters don’t allow stress and lack of time to prevent you from eating healthy! By keeping a jar of this, a frozen bag of that, a box full of this in your cabinet or refrigerator you can eat quickly and healthy, Happy Eating!

Looking for a new Noodle, here it is!

https://youtu.be/QuwazuXM-qE

It’s zucchini spirals to the noodle rescue! Yes these are not new by any means but I recently in the past year have gotten into them. In the past month I was shopping at Aldi (my favorite grocery store) and seen them for the first time there and had to buy a few boxes! I enjoy these because it replaces noodles especially for gluten free eaters or if you want a change in your meals. I mixed mine with a variety of vegetables and seasonings.

Keep Going until You Get it to Your Liking!

https://youtu.be/PNxL-ctJwvI

I eat tortillas and or tortillas chips weekly because they are gluten free. So when I seen a big bag of corn flour, it occurred to me I can make my own... eventually! So I bought it, it sat around for almost a month, then my bag of tortillas was at the end and I knew, I got to figure this out! I don’t like wasting money so no more bags of tortillas of any kind are being bought until this flour is gone.

Simple and Filling One Pot Meal! Try it!

https://youtu.be/4_XqsUHyRyo

When cooking I go for simple and filling! This meal took under a half hour. Lentils do not need to be soaked to cook, but if you do it cuts down the cook time, follow directions on the bag for new cooks.  I used frozen peas, carrots and brussel sprouts so once they are rinsed thoroughly they are good to go in about a half cup of water on medium till tender then turn off. Also I cut the sprouts in halves for faster cooking, for the seasonings used and the process go to the link above to watch it on my YouTube channel C.LynnsArt of Cooking, Happy Eating!
